Manaog, Pangasinan

We were supposed to go to Cagayan De Oro on Feb 15-21, 2012 but unfortunately according to news there was a low pressure area that will hit Northern and Eastern Mindanao. LPA might be a typhoon and so we thought of an alternative. We thought of going to Camarines Norte but the tour offer was just for 2days and 1 night on Feb 18-19. As Camarines Norte is a long drive from Manila we would like to stay there for at least 3 days and 2 nights thus Camarines Sur was thought of. We've already mailed some resorts for package tour but it seems the bad weather was keep on following us so it was again cancelled. We thought of not pushing our vacation anymore which would have made me very disappointed and sad. Finally, going to Manaoag pop up to my mind, we've been thinking of going there for quite a long time. From EDSA-Crossing we rode on a bus going to Munoz, dropped off to Five star bus terminal (on the right side).

While we were inside  the bus, we haven't decided yet which place we were going to stay at. This was the time that we were trying to contact some of the resorts in Patar, Pangasinan. Most of the resorts accommodation rates we found on the intranet were quite costly. We were on a budget so we only had two options, one was   Solomon's Paradise Bar & Grill and the other one was D' Heredero. At the time, we actually don't know Heredero's resort name. What we had was just a number of a certain person named Biboy. We got his number from this guy named Ian, who posted his number to bloggers sites. We compared the rates Solomon's was offering to Biboy's based on our exchange of text messages. Note that Solomon's offer was a promo while Biboy's was not. Biboy doesn't have photos of his resort's room and offered us to check it out personally.

The bus dropped us off just in front of the church. We were very hungry when we arrived Manaoag, but we shrug it off for a while as we were trying to catch a morning mass. Mass schedule is every hour. We attended a mass, however the mass intention was for those dead people. Afterwards, we did some picture taking and tried to find the counter for miraculous water but unfortunately we didn't find it. I found also a garden in the back of the church but we did not go there because had to eat our lunch as we were very very. hungry.

After the mass and a few picture taking, we had our lunch at Mang Inasal, after a few minutes or so..we inquired from locals whether there's a direct bus going to Bolinao from Manaog and we were told that there was no direct route from Manaoag to Bolinao. But instead we were advise to ride on a van going to Dagupan. Then Dagupan to Alaminos to Bolinao.
We didn't get to stay longer in Manaog  because we were trying to catch the daylight for Bolinao as we are not familiar with the town. It was our first time to set our foot both in Manaoag and Bolinao.

    1. hi,

Sa pagkakatanda ko mas madali ang mag travel from bolinao to manaog. Kung Manaoag to Bolinao ang ruta mo, mahirap ang travel ang daming sakay na gagawin. Dun sa may Manaoag church may tawid kayo papuntang Mang Inasal, then lakad kayo ng konti papuntang terminal ng van or tricycle going to Bolinao. Then from Bolinao baba kayo ng Alaminos, from Alaminos sakay kayo ng mini bus malapit sa CSI mall papuntang Bolinao. Pag pabalik ka na ng manila, hindi 24 hrs ang byahe ng bus from Bolinao to Manila till 7 pm lang ang biyahe. Since yun ang first time namin magpunta sa dalawang lugar na yun might as well seek other bloggers' advice, hindi na kasi ako nakabalik din eh.

thank you for reading my blog. =)
